Restoring an instrument means giving back all of the power and energy that it still has, thus enabling it once again to achieve its function.

It is an act of respect and love, it’s about improving the present, not exalting the past. It must work for today and tomorrow not for the already closed book of yesterday’s history.
Otherwise it is a procedure without meaning.

I will publish below the material relative to the restoration work that I have carried out.
Unfortunately the task of post-production is huge and difficult, even more so when you consider that writing, paging and ensuring a graphic layout are not really my profession. At present one restoration has been published as a report of the work carried out at the Córdoba Guitar Festival in Córdoba, Spain in the summer of 2007, a festival at which I participated giving a full account of the work carried out during the restoration of a guitar from 1864 by Antonio de Torres which belonged to Francisco Tárrega.
The publication is exhaustive with a large number of photographs, though the text is only in Spanish. I hope to be able to make it available in Italian and English quite soon.
More information about the festival can be found here and about the publication itself, here.
Still on the subject of restoration, I would strongly encourage you to visit and participate in the appropriate section of the forum. (Italian only)
